The BUMI Pillow was developed with the purpose of preventing and correcting cranial deformities (plagiocephaly, brachycephaly and scaphocephaly) during the first months of a baby’s life.
These deformities are caused by constant external pressure on the skull and may occur during pregnancy and/or while passing through the birth canal. They may also appear during the first year of life, especially in the first 4 months, and one of the main causes results from head positioning during this period.

The central cavity of the BUMI Pillow maximises the support surface, reducing and evenly distributing the pressure exerted on the baby’s head in the supine position (lying face up).
With an anatomical design, it adapts to the shape of the baby’s head and allows freedom of movement and head rotation, strengthening the neck muscles and promoting the recovery of its rounded shape.
The combination of these features ensures proper body positioning, facilitating breathing and helping the baby sleep better.
Supplied with a carrying bag for added protection, the BUMI Pillow is made from Softfeel polyurethane foam that distributes weight evenly across the entire surface.
Its removable and washable outer cover is made from breathable 3D fabric, which promotes air circulation and allows the baby to breathe, giving it anti-suffocation properties. This fabric contains inside it an extremely thin, waterproof, breathable and stretchable film that prevents liquids from penetrating the foam. With antibacterial and anti-mite treatment, it ensures hygienic protection of the fabric in direct contact with the skin. This treatment is wash-resistant, preventing the proliferation of bacteria and the formation of odours, maintaining freshness over time.
The BUMI Pillow is available in 2 sizes. For babies up to 3 months of age with a head circumference of up to 42 cm, size S is recommended. Size M is recommended for babies with a head circumference greater than 40 cm, which corresponds approximately to an age of 3 months or older.
The BUMI pillow does not prevent SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).
